Derek Holt is a multi-talented musician, playing several instruments including guitar, bass guitar and double bass, piano / keyboards, and banjo. It is rumoured that he has also been known to play bagpipes! As a performer, he is a grand master of the stage - a band-leader by his quiet encouraging nature and he is loved by those who have worked with him.
Many of the artists and bands he has worked with often praised him as a teacher without actually tutoring.
